How do we process your information? We process your information to provide astrological services (natal charts, horoscopes, moon phases, tarot), facilitate social features (profiles, messaging, friends), and improve our Services.
When do we share information? We share information with trusted service providers including Supabase (cloud hosting), Divine API (astrological calculations), Expo (push notifications), and NASA (public astronomical data). We also share public profile information and posts with other users. We never sell your data. Legal compliance when required.
How do we keep your information safe? We implement encryption for sensitive data, secure authentication, access controls, and regular security audits. Birth data receives extra encryption.
What are your rights? Depending on your location, you have rights regarding your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, and data portability.

1. NEPJUNE IS A SOCIAL PLATFORM
When you post content publicly on Nepjune, it is visible to other users. Please consider the public nature of our social features before sharing.
Public Information Includes:
- Your username and profile picture
- Posts and comments in community features
- Public profile information (bio, social links)
- Friend connections (when both consent)
- Content you star or favorite publicly
Private Information:
- Your email address (never shared)
- Your exact birth time and location (unless you share it)
- Private messages between users
- Your account settings and preferences
By using social features, you acknowledge certain information will be publicly visible. You control what you share and can adjust privacy settings in the app.

Note: We never share your exact birth time/location or private messages unless you explicitly choose to.
With Third-Party Service Providers:
We work with trusted third-party service providers to deliver our Services. These providers are carefully selected and contractually obligated to protect your information.
Cloud Infrastructure & Database:
- Supabase (supabase.com) - Cloud hosting, database, authentication, and secure file storage
Purpose: Host and secure your account and app content

Astrological Services:
- Divine API (divineapi.com) - Professional astrological calculations
Purpose: Generate natal charts, calculate horoscopes, transits, and provide tarot readings
Data Shared: Birth date, time, location, and timezone (for calculations only)
Data Retention: Divine API processes calculations in real-time and does not permanently store your personal data
Note: Your birth data is encrypted before being sent for calculations

Astronomical Data:
- NASA Image and Video Library (images.nasa.gov) - Public domain space imagery
Purpose: Provide authentic moon phase images and astronomical visualization
Data Shared: No personal data is shared with NASA
Note: NASA images are publicly available and accessed through their public API
Push Notifications:
- Expo Push Notification Service (expo.dev) - Mobile push notifications
Purpose: Send notifications for friend requests, messages, astrological events, and app updates
Data Shared: Device push tokens and notification preferences only

- Device-based location services and timezone APIs
Purpose: Calculate accurate astrological charts based on geographic location and ensure correct time calculations
Data Shared: Coordinates for birth chart calculations (used only for astronomical calculations)
Note: We use your device's native location services; no data is shared with external location tracking services
Important Notes:
- All service providers are carefully vetted for security and privacy compliance
- We use encryption for sensitive data transmission to third parties
- Service providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes
- We never share your email address or private messages with service providers unless necessary for core functionality (e.g., customer support)

- Exact birth data with anyone except encrypted transmission to astrological calculation services

6. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
We keep information as long as necessary for the purposes outlined, unless required by law.
Account Data:
- Retained while account is active
- Deleted within 30 days of deletion request
- Some data retained for legal compliance
Astrological Data:
- Retained for chart calculations while active
- Can be deleted upon request
- Anonymized data for service improvement
User Content:
- Deleted within 30 days of account deletion
7. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
Technical Safeguards:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest
- Secure authentication and session management
- Secure cloud infrastructure and hosting

Birth Data Protection:
- Extra encryption for birth date, time, and location
- Limited access to calculation systems only
- Secure storage separate from general user data
However, no electronic transmission is 100% secure. Transmission is at your own risk. Access Services only in secure environments.
8. DO WE USE TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
We use local storage and mobile identifiers to maintain your session and improve your experience.
What We Use:
- Local Storage: Store login session and preferences on your device
- Device Identifiers: Used for authentication and push notifications
- Analytics: Help us understand app usage to improve Services
Your Control:
You can clear local data by logging out or uninstalling the app. You can control push notification permissions in your device settings.
9. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
Age Requirements
Nepjune Astrology is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 17 years of age. By using our Services, you represent that you are at least 17 years old.
Current Enforcement:
- We state our age requirement in Terms of Service
- Users found to be underage will have accounts immediately suspended
- We will deactivate the account and promptly delete all collected data
- Parents/guardians can report underage users via email at info@nepjune.com
If you are a parent or guardian and become aware of a user under 17 using our Services, please contact us immediately at info@nepjune.com so we can take appropriate action.
10. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In some regions (EEA, UK, Switzerland, Canada), you have rights including:
- Request access and obtain a copy
- Request rectification or erasure
- Restrict processing
- Data portability
- Not be subject to automated decision-making
- Object to processing

Withdrawing consent: You can withdraw consent anytime by contacting us. This won't affect lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

You can log in to account settings to update or terminate your account, or contact info@nepjune.com.
Upon termination request, we deactivate/delete your account and information. We may retain some information to prevent fraud, troubleshoot, assist investigations, or comply with legal requirements.
11. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most browsers and mobile systems include Do-Not-Track (DNT) features. No uniform standard exists yet, so we don't currently respond to DNT signals. If a standard is adopted, we'll inform you in a revised Notice.
California law: We don't respond to DNT signals as there's no industry/legal standard.
12. DO US RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC RIGHTS?
If you're a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, you may have rights to request access, receive details, correct inaccuracies, get a copy, or delete your information. 13. DO OTHER REGIONS HAVE SPECIFIC RIGHTS?
Australia and New Zealand:
We comply with Australia's Privacy Act 1988 and NZ's Privacy Act 2020. If you don't provide necessary information, it may affect our ability to provide services (astrological services, account management, social features).
You can request access or correction anytime. If you believe we're unlawfully processing, complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or Office of New Zealand Privacy Commissioner.
Republic of South Africa:
You can request access or correction. If unsatisfied, contact The Information Regulator (South Africa): enquiries@inforegulator.org.za
14. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?
Yes, we'll update as necessary for legal compliance. Updates indicated by 'Last updated' date. For material changes, we may notify you prominently or directly. Review frequently to stay informed.
16. HOW CAN YOU REVIEW, UPDATE, OR DELETE DATA?
Based on applicable laws, you may have rights to request access, details, correction, or deletion. You may also withdraw consent. These rights may be limited by law.
